Gladys Wong is an 18 year old female college student at San Francisco State University (Earth 84) and is majoring in nursing. Gladys grew up in The Outskirts, which are sections that border the city that are near forests and lakes. Due to being raised here, Gladys likes the outdoors. Gladys enjoys parks, going on nature hikes and likes animals and other wildlife. Since The Outskirts are on the outer edges of the city, Gladys was still exposed to normal city and suburban lifestyle.
Currently Gladys lives with her Aunt and Uncle in The Suburbs, due to it being closer to the city and college. Aside from being a student, Gladys is also a server at a local tapioca/boba shop to help pay for tuition. Gladys, like most Asian girls her age, suffers from fangirlism. Where her fandom for things oversteps what is social accepted as normal and borders on obsession. This added with her hyper active nature and being slightly mentally slow lends to humorous or weird situations. One of the things she obsesses over is the rock band Shoryuken.
One time at a Shoryuken show, Gladys met a guy named Blaine Flores. While Gladys couldn’t get over how awesome the band was and how great this show was, the two were able to strike a conversation. The two found out that they share the same interests in music and go to the same college. So the two hung out and did stuff here and there. While original Blaine saw her as a friend/crazy Asian chick that won’t leave him alone, the two started dating.
