Last Saturday I was invited by Eddie’s friend Darrell to check out Eddie’s and Darrell’s band The Stars At Dusk’s performance at the open mic at Paddy’s Coffee House in Union City. For their performance, the guys wore Crazy Go Lucky shirts and even gave Crazy Go Lucky a quick shout out. Here are some photos and pics I was able to take while I was there.

J-Pop Summit Festival 2011 – ZANEEDS/DJ Amaya Set

So as mentioned previously, I was at the J-Pop Summit Festival this past Sunday. While there I was part of this dance they had during the ZANEEDS/DJ Amaya set. At the time I was in the artist alley mingling with my artist friends, that’s when I heard the in instrumentals for Perfume‘s “Polyrhythm”. That caused me to run towards the stage to see what was going on. Then while I was there, I just spontaneously then and there decided to join in. The rest as the videos below will show is history(yeah, I found that there were video of this on Youtube O___O). With that in mind, watching the videos also makes it rather apparent that I clearly don’t know how to dance. In case you’re new to the site or have no idea who I am in these videos, look for the guy in the “red shirt with the robot on it“.

J-Pop Summit Festival 2011 Photos

So here are the photos I took while I was at the J-Pop Summit Festival this last Sunday. Unfortunately I wasn’t tabling there but I went with my friend Bruce to check it out. I met up with a lot of my fellow artist and vendor friends and also met new people as well. Aside from checking out all the vendors, I also was able to check out a performance from the US voice actors for K-On and I also saw a vocaloid dance contest judged by 2 members of Danceroid. I even managed get in the action and joined in some of the dancing on the stage myself. Though that is a story for another day and time. Hyper-Con 2011 Photos

I apologize for the delay, but I finally updated the photo section with photos from last weeks Hyper-Con. It was a good event with decent attendance. I definitely had fun at this event even though I didn’t really do that well in terms of business wise compared to the last few cons I’ve done. However, I did slightly better than last years Hyper-Con so that’s at least something positive to consider. To check out the photos from this event click the image above or here.

EVO 2011

EVO 2011 just happened last weekend in Vegas and boy was it as hype as ever! So many EVO moments were created and you can see the top 10 of them right here. I think the only EVO moment that wasn’t in the top 10 was the match between Daigo and Poongko which you can check out in the video below.

So of course The Eddie was there participating at Evo for the first time playing in the Tekken6 tournament with The CGL Fightstick in hand. I won my first match but my second match was up against ATL Redd, an amazing Law player from Atlanta, that was actually aired on the EVO live stream. Sadly his Law was to much for my Ganryu and I lost that match. Good thing EVO is double elimination, I was able to redeem myself and win my next match in losers bracket but lost my forth to a really good Roger Jr player resulting my EVO experience to end at 2wins 2 losses. Not bad for a first time at EVO huh?

Games that were at Evo aside from the ones in the tournament lineup were of course the latest builds at Street Fighter x Tekken and Tekken Tag Tournament 2. Being a big Tekken player, I was all over the Tekken Tag 2 machine and look at who I ran into there, the father of Tekken, Harada-san himself ^_^.
