Personally I still don’t believe it, but apparently Chiaki Kuriyama is now a pop singer in Japan. You know, the girl who played Gogo Yubari in Kill Bill. Yeah, that girl O_o. Oddly enough, this song is also the ending theme to Gundam Unicorn. Which maybe the weirdest Gundam series name I’ve ever heard.

Ami Tokito

Nickname: Amimi
Stage Name: Ami Tokito, 時東ぁみ
Birthdate: September 25th, 1987
Birthplace: Tokyo, Japan
Blood Type: O
Height: 153cm

Ami Tokito is a Japanese pop singer, gravure model, and talent. She made her gravure debut after wining the Miss Magazine 2005 Tsuku Prize. In terms of her modeling, she seems to have gained notoriety due to her glasses. While many gravure models do wear glasses behind the cameras, few wear them in front of the camera. The only times they would wear glasses while modeling would be for either candid shots or cosplay. Ami on the other hand has the distinction of being rarely ever seen without glasses. Due to this, she is known as a “megadol” or “megane idol” with megane being the Japanese word for eyeglasses. Thus, it is the fact she is a “meganekko” or “glasses girl” that makes her appeal to many otaku. This has even gone as far as Ami releasing her own line of eyeglasses. All of this might be a weird thing to be known for, since some sources say her eyesight is perfectly fine.

Perfume On American Dad

So according to American Dad Monochrome Effect by Perfume equals Japanese funk. This marks Perfume’s introduction to America, and makes a very weird song selection by Seth McFarlane to use. Not that the song is bad, but it’s somewhat dated and such an obscure reference to make. I wonder if Nocchi, A-Chan, and Kashiyuka know about this. My mind is totally blown.

Since it’s the eve of a new decade, I decided to sit down and reflect upon what music albums defined and made this decade for me. This list is primarily based on my opinions and interests and are my personal favorites. So with that in mind don’t take this list as a end all, definitive list of the best albums of this decade. Clearly many genres are missing and you have to understand that is the nature of the beast. So yeah, I am just doing this for fun. If you want to start a internet fight over this, then let us meet in the parking lot with my tire iron and we shall iron this out. Also this list is not in any particular order. So don’t look at number placement as meaning anything. But I digress here is the top 50 albums of the decade in my honest opinion.
