Personally I still don’t believe it, but apparently Chiaki Kuriyama is now a pop singer in Japan. You know, the girl who played Gogo Yubari in Kill Bill. Yeah, that girl O_o. Oddly enough, this song is also the ending theme to Gundam Unicorn. Which maybe the weirdest Gundam series name I’ve ever heard.

So in a bit of weird news, famed Hollywood director Kevin Smith was escorted off a Southwest Air flight for being “too wide for the sky”. Apparently Smith was fat enough to cause concern to the flight crew, and they deemed Smith a safety risk. So he was taken off the flight. However do to his stature and the fact he has a platform to express his displeasure, they allowed Smith on a later flight. You can see the debacle unfold on Kevin Smith’s Twitter. Southwest Air has yet to comment on the specific incident. Personally all I can say is wow, this is just ridiculous.

Ok, I know I just did the Tekken trailer earlier, but what the hell is this? This looks nothing like the King Of Fighter’s video game. Also what is this nonsense about another universe and saving the world? There was nothing in the game about that. Nothing that I can even fathom or remember. Also there was no sword fighting what so ever in the game. None of this is right at all. I mean, at least with Tekken you can actually tell who the characters are. Since they tried to make them somewhat recognizable to how they are in the game. This just looks like a stupid action b movie. Also for the sake of the uninitiated, here is what the King Of Fighter’s game looks like . . .

News this week is that Sony Pictures has chosen director Marc Webb to helm the Spider-Man reboot. This news comes after news broke out last that Spider-Man director Sam Raimi and actor Tobey Maguire departed ways with the production of Spider-Man 4. Raimi was said to be in conflict with Sony over choice of villain to be featured in Spider-Man 4. As Raimi wanted to do a film with John Malkovich as the vulture, and Sony did not think the vulture was a popular enough villain to feature. So with their depature, Sony this week chose Marc Webb as the man to helm their new Spider-Man reboot based on a script by James Vanderbilt.

Hmm, so it appears someone actually decided to make a movie based on the video game Tekken? Did they not get memo? Because Street Fighter, another movie based on a beloved fighting game franchise, was terrible. I will commend the people who did this for at least having the characters in the right costumes, even though the characters are miscast. Other than that I don’t have high hopes for this.
