So earlier today, Denny’s was having it’s free Grand Slam promotion today from 6:00AM-2:00PM. Considering I am man who loves pancakes, I just had to be there. So here are some photos I took during this excursion with my still somewhat malfunctioning camera.

This is what the line looked like when I arrived on the scene.

Here are some signs in front of the Denny’s promoting things like a Grand Slam sandwich and free Grand Slams on your birthday. What there’s a sign about salad you say? What’s that? Never heard of it.

So what I take from the placemat, Denny’s starting tomorrow will offer endless pancake and fries with it’s entrees that come with them. This means if you order like a burger and fries, you can get unlimited refills on fries. Or if you order an entree that comes with pancakes, you can get refills on pancakes. A neat idea, even though I never eat at Denny’s outside of free Grand Slam day.

So here is the main attraction in all it’s sheer unbridled glory.

Although the free Grand Slam was awesome, really $2.51 for a soda? I guess they have to make their money back somehow.

So tonight my friend Andrew treated the guys and me for dinner. This was to celebrate his first paycheck from his new job in Berkeley. So we went and had dinner at a fairly new sushi restaurant in Union City called Maneki Sushi. The food here was pretty decent for local dinning and one of our servers was our friend Ronnie’s girlfriend Sarah. Since I saw my friend Vince taking some. Although, bear in mind that he does have a much better camera, and all I have is a somewhat malfunctioning camera and shaky hands.

So in case you were wondering, I was the one who the pork katsu with rice. Everyone else ordered their own sushi rolls and shared with each other. I don’t know, I’m just not a seafood person. Also Ian, his wife, and son where also there, but had their own meals. Also I just thought that banner in the restaurant was kinda funny. That guy is really downing his sake.

I’m going to go out on limb here, but doesn’t this kind of defeat the point of drinking Diet Coke O_o?

For Christmas Eve, my mother and I went to her friend Frank’s house. There we had a lovely dinner with Frank, his sister Cedy(my mom’s best friend), and their niece Anne. Hope you guys had an equally good if not better Christmas Eve ^_^!

What can I say, I’m a sucker for these things. One of the better food discoveries I’ve had this decade. Whether it’s baked or steamed, it is a delectable experience if done right. Although this is mot to be confused with a pork bun or pork siopao. Those kind of buns have different insides. I don’t but I feel it helps set up a cheerful mood for Christmas which is tomorrow. So yeah, let’s get the holiday celebrations started(if you haven’t started them yet already)!
